At this talk event, representatives from the four geoparks of Muroto, Nanki-Kumano, Izu Peninsula, and Tosa-Shimizu will gather to discuss the cultures and regional lifestyles connected by the Kuroshio Current.

The culture of bonito flakes and dashi broth, pilgrimage routes, traditional fishing methods-We explore the cultural aspects of geo that are “familiar yet surprisingly little known,” introducing the wisdom and stories that thrive in each region.

This will be a relaxed participatory talk event that not only covers specialized topics on geology and topography but also answers simple questions like, “Could this somehow be related to the Kuroshio Current?”
