2025 JGN Chugoku-Skikoku-Kinki Black Training Session Report

In October 2025, the Japan Geoparks Network (JGN) Chugoku-Shokoku-Kinki block training session was held at the Muroto Geopark.
Geopark staff members from the Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kinki regions gathered to share information about activities and challenges in each area. We sincerely thank everyone who participated.
The theme for this training session was “Matsuri (festivals)”.
Geopark participants presented case studies of festivals in their respective regions. After an inspection tour of the Townscape of Kiragawa, Muroto City, group work was conducted in discussion of geopark involvement in local festivals.
