Asian Pacific Geopark Network (APGN) Exchange Meeting

During the three days from 04/08/2025 to 04/10/2025, 9 members 0f China Geoparks, UNESCO, and Japan Geopark Network visits Muroto Geopark to furthur international exchange as part of the Asian Pacific Geopark Network (APGN).
The theme of this visitation is “water”. New ideas and opinions were exchanged regarding the dynamics of Muroto’s natural environment and geology.
The visiting guests toured Muroto Highschool and Geopark sites. In addition, experienced a tour guided by Muroto Highschool students.
This summer in Muroto, the “Inernational Youth Forum” is coming up and this visitation has significant implications for the highschool students’ preparation.
The visiting guests states that, “The Muroto Highschool students’ proactive attitude towards learning about Geoparks in other regions is wonderful.”. They thought the students’ incorporation of an international mindset is admirable.
